Yes!! That's what we were missing.
When you create a tunnel you join two ports: the one in your laptop (8888 in your case) and the one in your sever (80) in your case. Furthermore, when using https, you do not use the port 80 to connect to the server, you use the port 443. That's why you need to create a tunnel to the port 443.
In other words, you need to:
- Create a tunnel to the port 443. Something like:
ssh -N -L 8443:127.0.0.1:443 -i bitnami-hosting.pem firstname.lastname@example.org
