I had everything setup so it worked normally - I could access my Phpmyadmin trough tunnel if SSH trough Putty was running.
Afterwards I followed-up on my question here https://community.bitnami.com/t/how-to-do-permanent-redirect-from-server-ip-to-domain-name-on-bitnami-nginx-wp-ssl/61310/3
to redirect all traffic from ip to domain name.
I think this is where the error occured. I realised then, I have to change Putty settings to forward to port 443 for SSL traffic. Now, when I access my https://127.0.0.1:8443/phpmyadmin/ and click ignore certificate error, Phpmyadmin should load (no restriction error or something coming up). But it appears it's trying to load from the wrong folder:
the nginx error log says it's trying to load from /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/htdocs/phpmyadmin
I'm guessing it's a syslink error, but can't figure out:
a) how to fix it without screwing someting else up
b) why it occured in the first place.
Thanks so much for helping out, I hope this thread is useful to someone else as well.
