There’s no my.cnf on my installation on a Win10 machine, so I added “innodb_force_recovery=1” to my.ini. I presume the .cnf file would be on Linux.
I then did the following:
W:\Bitnami\wampstack-7.4.21-0\mariadb\bin>mysqld --skip-grant-tables --user=mysql --skip-external-locking --port=3306 --socket=Bitnami\wampstack-7.4.21-0/mariadb/tmp/mysql.sock
2021-07-20 12:16:41 0 [Note] mysqld (mysqld 10.4.20-MariaDB) starting as process 15364 ...
W:\Bitnami\wampstack-7.4.21-0\mariadb\bin>mysql -u root -p
Enter password: ********
ERROR 2002 (HY000): Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)
So I tried:
W:\Bitnami\wampstack-7.4.21-0\mariadb\bin>MariaDB> use mysql;
'MariaDB' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
I’m not that familiar with the command prompt, so I stuck now!
Is it possible that installing wampstack on a removable hard drive won’t work fully if the drive is moved to a different computer? It has the same drive letter on both of them.
