bndiagnostic failure reason: see description

Running AWS Wordpress Lightsail, the bn diagnostics made some suggestions but I can’t follow the steps - FTP access doesn’t resolve, have tried going from a backup snapshot, starting new instance and apache never seems to run and there would look to be issues with the apache and wp conf which all started with an expired cert.

Hi @paul9,

the error is clear in the Apache’s log

Syntax error on line 33 of /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/conf/htaccess.conf: </IfModule> without matching <IfModule> section

It seems you added these lines to that file and the last “” line is wrong

#BEGIN WordPress
<IFModule mod_rewrite.c>
RewriteEngine On
RewriteBase /
RewriteRule ^index\.php$ - [L]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d
RewriteRule . /index.php [L]

Please remove it and restart Apache

sudo /opt/bitnami/ restart apache

Apart from that, please increase the instance’s resources to not to run into any performance issue when accessing the application.

Happy to help!
