Hi @jcarmona,

Thanks for following up. So here is my issue with howto enable and config PageSpeed for Wordpress with NGINX and SSL:

I follow the instruction at but could not find /opt/bitnami/nginx/conf/bitnami/bitnami.conf file. With absolute no tech background, I added the configuration lines in the instruction link to (only 1 at a time):

  • /opt/bitnami/nginx/conf/nginx.conf (right under http server { listen 80 …)
  • /opt/bitnami/nginx/conf/server_blocks/wordpress-server-block.conf (right under listen 80 …)
  • /opt/bitnami/nginx/conf/server_blocks/wordpress-https-server-block.conf (right under listen 443 …)

and sudo /opt/bitnami/ restart nginx after each modification and the site was not reachable after each.

I got everything redone for now and appreciate detailed instructions on howto enable and config pagespeed for wordpress with nginx and ssl.

Thanks again,

Hi @muonnoi

Thanks for reporting your issue with the documentation on how to enable PageSpeed for WordPress + NGINX + SSL.

Some weeks ago, we migrated our WordPress + NGINX + SSL cloud images to use a newer installation process. This meant that some guides needed to be updated to adjust to those changes. In this case, we decided to no longer include PageSpeed for NGINX because they don’t offer any precompiled version for this webserver. Hence and unfortunately, the guide is no longer applicable.

I will report it so as to mark this to be removed. Thanks for reporting it!

Best regards,
Jose Antonio Carmona

I see, thank you @jcarmona! Do you have any suggestions or experience any for its alternatives?

Hello @muonnoi,

There are several WP plugins focused on caching your site that can be used as an alternative to Pagespeed. You can check our guide on how to Optimize WordPress for steps on how to configure a couple of them in your instance.
