I've recently deployed a new Magento instance on Amazon EC2 (v2.2.5-0 on Ubuntu 16.04). After installation (instance is running of course) I cannot access Magento / the store: when I enter the IP address or the public DNS in the browser the page is not loading and I get a "connection timed out" error message.
No need to mention that all relevant ports are open.
I can also connect with no problems to the server via SSH (PuTTy) and SFTP (Filezilla).
I had done this deployment a few times before and never had had this problem.
Any ideas? I couldn't find this scenario in the documentation / troubleshooting guides .
