Bug/Issue: Restarting Apache Does not prompt Pass Phrase

Keywords: WordPress + NGINX + SSL - AWS - How to - Secure Connections (SSL/HTTPS)

Description:
Hi Jota,

AWS Lightsail bitnami word press stack starting issue with new version of bitnami 5.8.3-3 while it is working as expected on bitnami 5.6-0. The latest version bitnami has changed to start stack services as systemd and there control script (/opt/bitnami/ctrl.sh) has been changed from bash to node.js. You can check this by comparing /etc/init.d/bitnami files on both servers. As I can see error in journal logs of OS by running journalctl -xe apache is asking for password, however either due to systemd or node.js is not being asked interactively.

“apachectl configtest” – All OK
when I ran “sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh restart apache” to restart apache getting this ERR:

Thank you for help on this!

Have you edited the SSL certificate keys that come with the solution? In that case, it seems the private key is password-protected. You will need to type the password when starting Apache or set the password in the Apache’s config file

https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/mod/mod_ssl.html#sslpassphrasedialog

I suggest you review the Apache’s documentation to solve this issue. You can also remove the password of the SSL key and forget about this password configuration.
