Boilerplate theme not appearing on frontend

Keywords: Magento - AWS - Technical issue - Other
Description:
Hi there,

I am using boilerplate Magento theme (https://github.com/epartment/magento2-sass-theme-boilerplate) on our AWS (bitnami magento stack). Bitnami Magneto’s stack is loading the theme on frontend. But the theme is availabel and activated in magento’s backend.

Bitnami suggests (https://docs.bitnami.com/general/apps/magento/configuration/install-theme/) to put THEME/app and THEME/pub folders into different directories. But boilerplate theme does app and pub directories.

I installed and tested it on my local with magento’s standard way in “app/design/frontend/” directory and its working fine.

I am wondering if I can get some help in regards to this.

Hello @zobi.gondal.89,

We have a Support Tool that will gather relevant information for us to analyze your configuration and logs. Could you please execute it on the machine where the stack is running by following the steps described in the guide below?

Please note that you need to paste the code ID that is shown at the end.

Hello @zobi.gondal.89,

I was able to install it using these installation instructions:
https://github.com/epartment/magento2-sass-theme-boilerplate#installation

Note that you will need to install git and npm:

apt install -y git
apt install -y npm

Also, you will need to set the right permissions:

cd /opt/bitnami/magento/app/design/frontend
sudo find Epartment/ -type d -exec chmod 775 {} \;
sudo find Epartment/ -type f -exec chmod 664 {} \;
sudo chown -R bitnami:daemon Epartment/

I hope it helps
