Bn tool stuck in running and never finishes

Type: Bitnami Support Tool

Description:
bn tool stuck in running and never finishes

Hi @pedro3

Thanks for using Bitnami!

You might have issues with memory. Try stopping all your services first and then re-run the tool:

  1. Stop all your running services
$ sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh stop
  1. Run the bnsupport-tool now

If you are able to execute the tool now, please create a new Ticket using the Technical issue category, providing the ID that was just generated.

If that still fails, please execute the following commands:

$ ps aux | grep 'apache\|mysql\|nginx\|/opt/bitnami\|php-fpm'
$ free -m
$ df -h

Best regards,
Jose Antonio Carmona

NOTES:

  1. We have remove our server EC2 from AWS ELB
  2. We have also checked access logs and the logs are perfect no unidenified traffic

Also spend the last two days trying to get the bnsupport-tool to finsih running as of right now its been running for the past 9 hours and does not end. Im thinking maybe due to high cpu that php.ini is consuming

hello support team any feedback on the above?

hello any feedback/response please from bitnami support team?

note our bitnami wordpress site had been running for 6 plus months with no changes and its currently down to this issue

Ive gone to the extent to try and export wordpress and the php.bin immediatly goes up to 100% and does not allow the export command to finish “wp export”

Does anyone any ideas on how I can get this resolved.

there has been no response from bitnami support team.

Hi @pedro3

You may need to stop all your services in order to run the bnsupport-tool, as it seems that there is one process (PHP) that is taking a lot of resources from the CPU:

$ sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh stop

Once all services are stopped, please try executing the tool again. Should the tool generate the ID now, please create a new Ticket using the Technical Issue category for one of our teammates to provide you assistance with it!

Best regards,
Jose Antonio Carmona

no it was not helpful

in case your goign to ask

The below is set to AllowOverride None so that is not the issue.

This started occurring after migrating to latest bitnami.

#
# AllowOverride controls what directives may be placed in .htaccess files.
# It can be "All", "None", or any combination of the keywords:
#   AllowOverride FileInfo AuthConfig Limit
#

AllowOverride None

hello???

this support has been horrible.

Well, I see that you were eventually able to execute the bnsupport-tool. As my recommendation was not helpful, could you please share with the community the steps you followed to execute it? Some other users having the same problem will benefit from it :slightly_smiling_face:

In any case, I see that you were able to create a new Technical Issue ticket. One of our team members will analyze your case soon.

Please note that we provide free support in this community forum to help our users with any questions they have. Due to our limited resources, and the high quantity of cases, we usually reply within a business day.

Best regards,
Jose Antonio Carmona
