Firstly, I would like to reply you about the components included in our stacks. Here, our goal is to provide one-click install solution for every application and we want to provide installers as small as possible. If you want to install, for instance, a PHP extension, we provide guides that explain how to do it. For example, this guide explains how to install several PHP popular modules.
About your case, I'm sorry that you had this bad experience with our documentation. However, except the point about
libcloog-ppl1 (I had to change from libcloog-ppl0 to libcloog-ppl1 and we already updated that step), I installed
memcached without issues running the steps described in the guide.
Regarding the errors that you pointed:
checking for libmemcached location... configure: error: Can't find libmemcached 1.0.x headers under "/opt/bitnami/common"
Could you please double-check if you configured
/opt/bitnami/common as prefix in the libmemcached
./configure step? The command should be:
[29-Jul-2016 17:20:43] NOTICE: PHP message: PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library '/opt/bitnami/php/lib/php/extensions/memcached.so' - /opt/bitnami/php/lib/php/extensions/memcached.so:
Could you please double-check that you enabled the
memcached module in the
php.ini file? You should add this line in
Later, when you restart the stack services, you can create the test file and you should get something like this:
I hope it helps. Please, feel free to post here if you have any other question.
