I've been trying to set-up "Remote Staging" between two liferay 6.2 servers following the instructions found
in the documentation.
But I keep getting the following error :
Could not connect to address http://192.168.1.106:80. Please verify that the specified port is correct and that the remote server is configured to accept requests from this server.
So here is my setup:
I have two Bitnami liferay 6.2 images that are running, one as the staging and the other as the live server.
Both virtual machines are running through VirtualBox 4.3 and they both connect to my local network correctly.
I can successfully ping the live server from staging and vice-versa.
The Firewall info indicates that the 80 and 8080 ports are open on both servers and I am able to access both web applications correctly using chrome.
Local Server (Staging 192.168.1.108) portal-ext.properties config
Remote Server (Live 192.168.1.106) portal-ext.properties config
The user I've been using is present on both servers with the exact same email, username and password.
A blank site was created on the live server and it's ID is 10830
On the local server(staging) I went and entered the following in the "Staging" settings:
Remote Live: ON
Remote Host/IP: 192.168.1.106
Remote Port: 80
Remote Site ID: 10830
Default portlets are checked
When I click save I get the error mentioned above and when I look
in the staging logs(/opt/bitnami/apps/liferay/data/logs) the only messages I find are Connection Timeout and a stack trace.
Have I missed some setting ? am I doing something wrong ?
I'm no expert in infrastructure and help would be greatly appreciated in setting my servers correctly.
Thanks in advance.
