I'm currently experiencing a problem with my AWS Parse Server. I've been using the Parse backend with my iOS and Android app since February. Everything has been working well up until recently.
I'm not a backend guy but apparently my storage on the server was being used up by log files and so I 'attempted' to clean them up not so long ago. This seemed to do the trick but on Saturday I was showing a family friendly the app on the Appstore and it was working, but then I closed the app and opened it again it kept giving me errors. After trying on both mine, my brothers and my cousin's phones, I gathered that it must have been the server which dropped.
After getting home (I was at football game when I was showing the app) I tried to log in to my parse dashboard, to which I was greeted with a recurring 503 error.
I then logged into my Linux server from terminal and I restarted the server. For a while I could see the landing page of the dashboard but it showed that my database was empty (which it obviously isn't).
I restarted my server again, and this time I was no longer looking at the dashboard but 503 error again. Now every time that I restart it Parse doesn't seem to start at all.
Please can you help me solve this problem?
I would also appreciate a link to how to guide regarding the backing up of a parse database as well as the deploying of said database on another EC2 server.
If you could also link me to a how to guide detailing how to activate the HTTPS function on my server that too would be greatly appreciated.
Please note that I don't know server jargon, so please try and see through what I'm saying. I'm an app guy.
