Type: SuggestionDescription: Two suggestions:1. Could you please start using Amazon Linux 2 as the base, because it starts up quite a bit faster than Ubuntu (coming from an Ubuntu fan).2. Could you please include certbot in your AMI so that the SSL certificate can be requested immediately after an upgrade?Thanks!
Thank you very much for your suggestions!. Regarding SSL, the new AMIs include an improved mechanism to automatically configure the certificate and the renewal. Please see the documentation here.
Thank you! If I already have certbot installed, would the included tool overwrite the certbot's certificates? Where does the included tool keep the certificates?
BTW, on this: *** Welcome to the Bitnami WordPress Multisite 4.9.8-0 *** there's no certificate tool bundled in like mentioned in the docs:
*** Welcome to the Bitnami WordPress Multisite 4.9.8-0 ***
$ sudo ls -la /opt/bitnami/letsencrypt/
ls: cannot access '/opt/bitnami/letsencrypt/': No such file or directory
This new tool is in process of being added to the different images and will be available as they are upgraded. The tool is not designed to be used with another certificate creation / renewal mechanism, so if you are already using one, you should either continue with the same or start using the new one.
What can I do (like file a bug somewhere) to ensure that this tool is added to the next aws WordPress multisite AMI?
It's already on track, it should be in the next release available in the Marketplace.
