I am having another issue regarding access to the site. I have a DNS name configured and it resolves to my public IP of the canvas instance. here is my scenario:
1. -ip-address- & http:// -ip-address-
2. http:// dns-name & https:// dns-name
all the above URLs point me to a secure page at https:// dns-name. But the problem is when someone tries to reach https:// -ip-address- it gives an insecure warning. I have tried adding many rules to /opt/bitnami/apps/canvaslms/conf/httpd-prefix.conf file but they do not seem to work for this.
Is it because I do not have SSL certificates generated against IP address? if yes, then how can I have 2 sets of certificates configured with canvas? if this is not possible, then how do I re-direct https:// -ip-address to https:// -dns-name ?
