Which version of the application are you using?: 4.1.1-5
Please choose how you got the application: Installer (Windows, Linux, macOS), cloud image (AWS, GCE, Azure, ...) or VM (VMDK, VBOX): Linux
Have you installed any plugin or modified any configuration file?: No
Describe here your question/suggestion/issue (expected and actual results):
While trying to import issues from UTF-8 csv file Redmine raise an exception.
Below, there is an output from log/production.log file:
ArgumentError (unknown encoding name - bom|UTF-8):

app/models/import.rb:251:in read_rows' app/models/import.rb:135:inread_items'
app/models/import.rb:126:in parse_file' app/controllers/imports_controller.rb:52:insettings'
lib/redmine/sudo_mode.rb:65:in `sudo_mode'

Steps to reproduce the issue (if relevant):
Install brand new Bitnami Redmine installation 4.1.1-5 or 4.1.1-4

Hi, thank you for reply, but this is not a case.

Problem occurs while importing, when I choose UTF-8 as file codepage.

After click on next Redmine return with Internal error.

I check your data of the bnsupport and I see the error, could you open an issue in Redmine?

Please note that Bitnami packages and configures already existing applications. However, we can only offer support and help on basic and most frequent application configurations. Always based on the default configuration or on our guides.
If the question is related to the application itself or any third party tool, probably someone with more experience and knowledge about that specific tool can help you better than we can.

This is more complicated.

There is no problem with Redmine itself, when I install it from Redmine 4.1.1 web page as clean installation. And when I import data with UTF-8 codepage there is no error. I can import issues from file.

Problem occur only when I install Redmine from Bitnami Stack. I checked versions 4.1.1-4 and 4.1.1-5. That is why I posted here, and not on https://www.redmine.org/issues

Both installations are in the same configurations, Bitnami Redmine and flat Redmine.

I think I found reason of problem.

I installed Bitnami Redmine and changed ruby version to ruby 2.5.8 but from rbenv.
That solved the problem.

Strange thing is that the Bitnami Stack ruby version is 2.5.8 but gems are located under
./lib/ruby/gems/2.5.0/gems/ so I think that this is core of the problem with encoding.

Please inform developers about this issue. This is some kind of ruby misconfiguration
in Bitnami Stack.
