Apache config test fails - SSL not working - suspicious connection blocked

Keywords: WordPress - AWS - Technical issue - Secure Connections (SSL/HTTPS)
Description:
Hi,

I have followed the instructions to renew the SSL on Lightsail Wordpress, however, when I restart the machine, I get the following errors:

httpd.bin: Syntax error on line 564 of /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/httpd.conf: Syntax error
on line 26 of /opt/bitnami/apache2/conf/bitnami/bitnami.conf: Syntax error on line 2 of /o
pt/bitnami/apache2/conf/bitnami/bitnami-apps-prefix.conf: Syntax error on line 11 of /opt/
bitnami/apps/wordpress/conf/httpd-prefix.conf: Could not open configuration file /opt/bitn
ami/apps/wordpress/conf/httpd-app.conf: No such file or directory
apache config test fails, aborting

The site is now popping up an error stating that the SSL isn’t working, and a suspicious connection was blocked, and an image isn’t working.

I haven’t edited any files etc, just used the ReallySSL plugin.

The domain is https://www.southmetroshowtime.org/

Hi @smst,

We have a Support Tool that will gather relevant information for us to analyze your configuration and logs. Could you please execute it on the machine where the stack is running by following the steps described in the guide below?

How to Run the Bitnami Support Tool in a cloud image or virtual machine

Please note that you need to paste the code ID that is shown at the end.

Regards,
Michiel

Hi Michiel,

I tried using the the support tool and have the file to send as it wouldn’t upload. How do I message you the dropbox link?

Hi @smst,

I’ve sent you my email address in a private message. Can you send the link there and notify me in this public thread afterwards?

Regards,
Michiel

Hi Michiel,

The link has been sent.

Cheers

Mark

Hi @smst,

I’m afraid I don’t see the message. Instead can you run the bndiagnostic tool and send me the output?

sudo /opt/bitnami/bndiagnostic-tool

Regards,
Michiel

I get this result

bitnami@ip-172-26-13-105:~$ sudo /opt/bitnami/bndiagnostic-tool
sudo: /opt/bitnami/bndiagnostic-tool: command not found

Hi @smst,

Let’s try another method to share the Bitnami Support tool. I just sent you a private message so you can send the link to obtain the Bitnami Support tool there (not using a private email address).

Thanks!

Hi Jota,

I have done this.

Hi @smst,

I reviewed the information of the Bitnami Support tool and found that the httpd-app.conf file was renamed to httpd-app.conf.old, can you rename it back?

sudo mv /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/conf/httpd-app.conf.old /opt/bitnami/apps/wordpress/conf/httpd-app.conf
sudo /opt/bitnami/ctlscript.sh restart apache

If you still get errors when restarting Apache, please run the Bitnami support tool again and share the code here or the link in the private thread.

Happy to help!
