I apologize if this is a repeat, but I created this same support request and didn't see it in the forum.
Amazon AWS EC2 Instance
Using WP Mail SMTP plugin
I have set up a Gmail Mailer in the plugin with Client ID and Client Secret. An Email Test was used and, based upon the plugin's response, it was successful in sending it. However, the Gmail account received this error:
The response from the remote server was:
550 IP address is not allowed to send mail from domainname.com. Please see the SPF record, with scope mfrom, identity firstname.lastname@example.org, and IP address"
Because Amazon AWS doesn't provide support for third-party apps, I don't know what to do, nor do I understand what this means. If it helps, on both Amazon AWS and at the domain registrar's location, there is an MX record of "1 ALT4.ASPMX.L.GOOGLE.COM".
The client is losing leads, and I need to get this fixed ASAP! ANY help would be awesome (I'm not a system admin).
If it matters, prior to the site being migrated to Amazon AWS, the email test we created was received successfully from our demo server (different host).
I'll check back hourly for a response. Thank you!
