i have a working joomla site from another hosting and i wanted to port it to bintami/joomla
so i configured an instance of a bitnami/joomla. the site is working. i was able to import the sql database from the old site to the default bitnami sql database "bitnami_joomla" of the bitnami site. then by changing the default database table prefix "_jos" of joomla to "_emnos" one being used by my old sql database. everything looks great in the front end all items looks similar and working. but in the back end i cant view the articles.
im not sure how to solve this there is some sort of user access that i cant figure out

did you modify the database table prefix also in the configuration.php file?

yes, so that joomla can display the proper information, i also modified the configuration.php. thanks . i can also access the back end, but my issue is while i can see most parts of the joomla installation. the modules, the components, the articles are there listed too, but when i click on any of the articles, i seem to get permission error, it does not display the complete article, just the title , category, etc and a permission button

finally corrected this error as what i might have done in the first place is not recommended.
while i have a complete back up the sql database from the old site, i added this to an existing sql database on the new site and then just changed the prefix on the configuration.php similar to the old site.
what i did now that works and i guess is also the recommended way is to create a new database in the new site with 0 entry then import the sql database from the old site to this one. it works now!
